Senators mission is simple; to be THE preferred supplier of pens and drink ware worldwide. They don't just have 100+ years of manufacturing experience, but also have 5 factories in 5 locations across Europe. This allows them to deliver their products in good time; keeping their express delivery promise. This way of operating is not only better for their customers; but it is also better for the environment. A lot of manufacturers in the business use "new" plastics, non-recyclable materials and more fossil fuel; this is due to being imported from further away. A smaller ecological footprint is better for everyone!

Sustainability at Senator®
We have told you that Senator® work sustainably, but we'd like to explain in-depth how they work to support and protect the planet.
Senator's production takes place in Groß-Bieberau, which is a town around 35 miles from Frankfurt, in Germany. This obviously means that the products have a shorter journey from them to you; aiding in reduction of Co2 emissions.
Senator also work to ensure their products are made from sustainable materials. Everything is recyclable or refillable; and they use bioplastics in the manufacturing of some of their pens. Bioplastics are made from raw natural materials like sugar cane, corn and tapioca. The company also strives to avoid waste, turning recycled plastic into new pens. They also offset their unavoidable Co2 emissions, through supporting climate protection schemes and projects.
To offset carbon emissions, you simply take more carbon out of the atmosphere than you put in to it. This can be done through donating money to charities that work with developing countries helping them reduce pollution; or through planting trees on a big scale.
Senator® don't just claim to be both environmentally and socially sustainable, they have also been awarded "Climate Neutral" status on many of their product lines. Additionally, they are backed by the BSCI, Sedex, they're members of SMETA and conform to REACH regulations. These are all initiatives, organisations, independent auditors and EU regulations. They work to improve the social, environmental and ethical conditions in the workplace; holding businesses accountable.
